← Services04 / 04 — The bit that's still done by hand

Custom tools,
done properly.

You know some part of the job could be automated. You just haven't had time to figure out how. That's the part we do.

We've built one already.

An order form that used to arrive as a PDF and get retyped by hand, a few times a day, now lands straight into a dashboard and gets routed to the right truck. That's not a hypothetical. It's running for a client right now.

What's included.

Built around your process

Not a template with your logo on it. We start with what's actually broken and build the smallest thing that fixes it.

One tool, not five subscriptions

If a $10 SaaS tool already does the job, we'll say so. We're not going to build you something you don't need.

Plain English, the whole way

No architecture diagrams, no jargon. Just what it does, what it costs, and when it's ready.

Easy to use

Whoever's actually using it, on the floor or in the truck, needs to open it and understand it in a minute. Not a training session.

Hosted and watched

We host it, back it up, and keep an eye on it. If something breaks before the trucks go out, we hear about it before you do.

Room to grow

Start with the one broken thing. Add to it later if it's working. Nothing here locks you into a bigger system you didn't ask for.

Prices ex GST, NZD. Most builds land between $2,000 and $6,000 depending on scope. Hosting and monitoring from $150 a month.

Things people ask.

I don't know what I need, just that something's annoying.

That's a normal place to start. Tell us what the annoying thing is. We'll tell you honestly whether it's worth building something, or whether a tool that already exists does the job.

What if my process changes in six months?

Most of these are small enough that a change is a small job, not a rebuild. That's part of why we keep the first version simple rather than over-building it.

How long does a build take?

Most sit between two and six weeks, depending on what it needs to talk to, email, spreadsheets, other software. We'll give you a real number after the first chat.

Is this the same as a website?

No. A website is for people finding you. This is for the process inside your business that only you and maybe two other people ever see.

How do I start?

Send a paragraph to hello@studiobroad.nz or use the contact form. Tell us what's annoying. We'll tell you honestly if it's worth building.

That's plenty.
